Centring First Peoples: A Global Conversation

Register here

Facilitated and initiated by Uncle Lloyd Dolan, Wiradjuri Elder and Knowledge Holder
Brought to you by the Asia Pacific Hub of the Collaborative

This event is for First Nations peoples only

This conversation is an invitation to First Peoples from across the world to come together - across nations and contexts - to ask: How should Indigenous knowledges be approached in global learning and international education? Who should lead this work, and how should it be done?

First Nations, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders, Māori, Pasifika, Inuit, Métis, Native Americans, Adivasi, Tribal, Indigenous, and many other First Peoples hold diverse knowledge systems, languages, and ways of being - shaped by Country, land, and community. We are not one people, but many peoples, each with our own stories, protocols, and wisdom. Yet we also share experiences: of colonisation, of having our knowledge extracted or sidelined, and of being consulted rather than leading.

Rather than responding to what others have built, we are gathering to determine the direction ourselves. This is the first of what we hope will be ongoing conversations.
