Join us as Charles Sturt University launches a new regional hub for the Collaborative, bringing an Asia Pacific and Australian lens to global learning. This exciting partnership will spark fresh collaboration, innovation, and community-based action to tackle shared global challenges.

The Hub’s primary audience is people in community-based organizations partnering with university faculty, staff, and students from the Asia Pacific region. All are welcome with an interest in positioning Collaborative activities in Asia Pacific contexts.

This session introduces the Global Engagement Survey (GES), a research-informed instrument developed by the Collaborative to assess the outcomes of community-based global learning. Since 2015, over 11,000 students from 39 institutions have completed the survey. We’ll explore the theoretical foundations of the tool, share key findings to date, and discuss our ongoing efforts to strengthen the GES as a mechanism for ethical, equity-focused program evaluation, one that aligns with Fair Trade Learning principles and meaningfully promotes community impact. This is an ideal session for those interested in assessment, research, or improving student and community impact reporting.
