More details including past topics can be found here.
GES users can schedule a consultation with the managing director as needed
Timeline and survey distribution
The survey cycle is for programs/courses which occur in: fall 2025 through summer 2026. The post-survey will close on September 18, 2026 to accommodate all summer programs.
GES institutional representatives can submit programs they would like to include in the fall 2025-summer 2026 survey through an online form by August 1, 2025. Additional programs may be added at any time using the form, allowing 10 days for the programs to appear in the survey.
We provide the survey link to an institutional representative to manage distribution of the pre and post survey at their institution. The survey link and other relevant GES info will be distributed to institutional representatives by August 15, 2025 to accommodate fall programs with an August component.
Data collection and number of programs
Partners can add up to 10 programs to the survey menu per institution.
Sponsors can add up to 25 programs to the survey menu per institution.
Beyond these limits institutions can add additional programs to the survey for a $50/program administrative fee
Each program is assigned a code in the cleaned and anonymized institutional dataset (described in the data sharing section below). This allows institutions to conduct further data analysis, such as comparison of programs.
There is no per-student cost and no limit to the number of students who can take the survey.
Reporting and data sharing
Each institution has access to an online password protected report displaying descriptive quantitative results in real-time for the institution's combined dataset compared to the total combined dataset. This descriptive report includes pre- and post-survey mean scores and demographic frequencies.
A cleaned and anonymized institutional dataset is shared with the institutional representative. This includes both quantitative and qualitative data. Unique IDs are assigned to each respondent and identifying information is removed. A code book with survey items, demographic questions, program factor questions, and institution-specific program codes is also shared with the institutional representative. The survey closes on September 18, 2026 and the cleaned and anonymized data will be sent to institutional representative by December 1, 2026.
Institutions can request their cleaned and anonymized data earlier if they are not using the survey to evaluate summer programs or courses.
Customization for Sponsors
Sponsors receive one additional online password-protected report: a comparison pre and post survey mean scores for up to 4 programs at your institution
Sponsors also can add up to 10 additional customized questions (quantitative or qualitative) per institution. A list of past questions added by Sponsors is available for reference. Beyond this limit there is a $25/question fee.
